Folks, I was SO EXCITED to launch this site. I thought it’d be a great way for people to get to know me, and, perhaps, think about visiting my stream.

And then I stopped streaming. Uh? Althea? What are you doing?

What I’m doing is this: being very, very creative and taking part in creativity challenges. For one, I continue to work on the fanscripts site - I added a blog post there as well as three completed FFBE pages. I’m hoping to continue working on the site as time allows.

I’ve been participating in a crafting tournament for 12 years now, and after a slump of not really crafting earlier this summer, I’m back to producing things for the tournament. This also includes knitting a hoodie for myself! That’s taking a lot of my time.

Perhaps the most time consuming thing, though, is FFXIV Write 2026 - a 30 day Final Fantasy XIV happening every September. It’s been going on for 10 years, but this is my first year participating. So far, I haven’t missed a day, INCLUDING the “Extra Credit” rest day when there wasn’t an official prompt given (I asked a friend to give me a prompt).

So yeah, I haven’t been streaming because I’ve been doing all this OTHER stuff, which has left no time for gaming. In fact, I hadn’t intended to play FFXIV this week at all. Then my friends started talking about Patch 7.56, which I hadn’t realized was released today. I especially didn’t realize that we’d get the last part of the Dawntrail MSQ, until said friends started talking in spoiler tags.

Oops?

Well, I just HAD to play, even if I wasn’t streaming it! I did indeed play it earlier–and recorded it, with the intention of uploading it to YouTube. Alas, I’ve tried twice to upload it only to have the process crap out partway through. I blame my crappy upload speeds. Seriously, it’s a wonder I can stream at ALL.

I intend to take another month off a streaming, but I DO plan to return! You’ve probably already noticed the countdown on the site’s home page. Yes, the goal is to come back to streaming on October 22nd, the day that Final Fantasy Resonance is being released. I desire greatly to share the former Brave Exvius story with you!

I’m not exactly sure of the time I’ll be going live then, but it WILL be October 22nd. I hope to see you then! Till then, take care and stay safe.
